Today École La Passerelle has more than 60 students enrolled in the Francophone program, which is offered from kindergarten through grade 7. Located on the mountainside in the heart of Whistler, it occupies part of Spring Creek Community School.
The name of the school – La Passerelle, which can mean both “footbridge” and “link” – reflects what this school is: a bridge between two languages, two cultures, and the two schools (Spring Creek Community School and La Passerelle), as well as the students’ transition out of the family nest and into school.
